Departure around 08:00 from the hotel to leave in a private vehicle to quickly reach the starting point of the trek to Kusilluchayoc, also known as the Temple of the Apes, then we will continue to the temple of the moon, named after the equinoxes. The moon illuminates the main altar through a small hole in the ceiling of this cave. 60-minute walk to reach the Inkillatambo complex located in Qapaq ñan, which in Quechua means “the Great Inca Trail”. During this walk we will cross a small eucalyptus forest that will take us to the archaeological complex surrounded by Inca terraces. In addition to being used as an agricultural, religious center, this site was also related to astronomy. We will take advantage of a Box Lunch to have time to enjoy this place and then we will continue towards the Kallachaka Bridge, where we can see the remains of the old colonial ovens. Then we will take the opposite path to return to Cusco around 5:00 p.m.
