Our exclusive Peru Heritage tour, covering the Northern, Huaraz, Cusco, Machu Picchu, and the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca. You can take this as a regular tour departing daily or in a group. Note that you select your preferred hotel category, and you meet your group mainly during day trips so this is really a semi-private tour.

Lima Peru Day 1- Lima: Upon your arrival into Lima you will be met and transferred to the hotel in exclusive zone of Lima in Miraflores for your overnight.

Day 2- Lima: In the morning, guided sightseeing tour to the most attractive and important sites in Lima, the "City of Kings". The tour includes Lima's Historical Centre, passing by Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the City Hall. We will visit the Convent and Church of San Francisco, the greatest monumental complex of Colonial Art in America and Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The tour includes a visit to the Basilica of 21 altars, Convent of Cloisters, Capitulary and Clementine Rooms, Chorus and Library of the monks, a Museum showing 11 paintings of the Rubens School, the Sacristy with paintings of Surbaran and Ribera, its great patio decorated with Seville tiles of the XVIth Century, Moorish arches and underground Catacombs. Larco is one of the few museums in the world where visitors can also choose to enter the storage area with its 45,000 classified archaeological objects. Its masterpieces are considered worldwide icons of pre-Columbian art, after being exhibited in the world's leading museums. Return to the hotel (Breakfast)

Day 3- Caral: After breakfast Full day's guided visit to Caral. Caral is located in the valley of Supe and it is the oldest city of America. It has five thousand years and seven great pyramids. This is a guided visit to the sacred city of Caral "The oldest city of America". It is the most notable archaeological discovery of the last times. The antiquity of Caral was detected through 18 dated radio carbonic ones made in the USA. This discovery changes the schemes that until now were had on the development of the civilization in Peru. Full day tour, we will be able to appreciate the macroscopic images of the place, then accompanied by an archaeologist we will visit the different constructions : 6 monumental pyramids, in two of those we can realize the architectural distribution of the first Peruvian civilization and of America. These constructions have an amphitheater, vents of offerings in form to circulate, central squares, residential areas and religious centers. This city dates of 5000 years of antiquity and it is located chronologically parallel to the constructions of the Egypt pyramids. Return to Lima and your hotel.(Breakfast)

Trujillo Peru Day 4- Lima - Chiclayo: After breakfast, our staff will transfer you to the airport for the morning flight to Chiclayo. Our staff transfer you to the hotel. Trip to the wonderful Brunning museum. Lunch followed by a visit to both the Sipan and Sican museums. The day concludes with a visit to the Tucume complex, where over 26 pyramids are located. Return to your hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 5- Kuelap: After breakfast, bus journey to Chachapoyas, the capital of the Amazonas department. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. (Breakfast)

Day 6- Kuelap: After breakfast full day's tour starting in the valley of Utcubamba heading towards the village of Lamud. From here, at a distance, you can see the standing mud coffins of Lamud decorated with anthropomorphic reliefs and with feline paws and human heads. The Sachapuyans, after placing the coffins in these strategic locations on the cliffs, destroyed the paths which led to them thus avoiding any disturbance of their dead. After lunch return to Chachapoyas. (Breakfast/Lunch)

Day 7- Chachapoyas: Early departure from Chachapoyas to Tingo. Ascent to the ruins of Kuelap, the huge fortress dominating the skyline above the Amazonas landscape and hailed as the Machu Picchu of Northern Peru. To get a good view of the whole complex, a climb to the Kuelap watch-tower where the gigantic outer walls and the whole extension of this former fortress can be fully appreciated. In the afternoon, return to Tingo and then to Chachapoyas. Accommodation (Breakfast)

Day 9- Chiclayo: Short journey by bus to Trujillo. Transfer to the hotel. Free day to explore Trujillo (Breakfast)

Day 10- Trujillo:
After breakfast, a guided visit to the metropolis of Chan-Chan, the ancient capital city of the Chimu Empire. It is the largest pre-Columbian city in South America, built entirely of mud and adobe brick. A stop is made at Huaca Dragon to visit this restored, pyramidal shaped adobe temple consecrated to the rainbow, and with beautiful bas-reliefs. A visit to the small nearby archaeological museum concludes the tour. Return to your hotel. (B)

Day 11- Huaraz: Trip to Huaraz, the capital of the Peruvian Andes. Free day. (Breakfast)

Day 12- Chavin de Huantar: Full day trip to Chavin de Huantar, site of the oldest pan-andean civilization dating back to 2000BC. Located on the outskirts of the village of the same name recently declared Cultural Patrimony of the World. Route by the archaeological set, we will appreciate the Lanzon de Chavin, the nailed Breakfast. We will visit the millenarian Temple of Chavin, explaining much of Heads, the Stone of Choquechinchay, we will cross an impressive network of internal galleries or labyrinths, also are appraised columns and a great concentric ceremonial piece of graderias. Lunch. Return to Huaraz and then by luxury night bus returns to Lima. (Breakfast)

Day 13- Lima – Cusco: Early arrival in Lima. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon your Arrival in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Incas, we greet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel following brief orientation and a cup of traditional coca tea to assist in the acclimation to the 11300 ft. in the Inca Capital of Cusco. In the afternoon City tour of Cusco, including the Cathedral, Qoricancha, temple of the Sun, the most important of Inca ceremonial sites. Later you will continue to the most important site of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Qenqo and Puca Pucara. We return to the hotel (Breakfast)

Day 14- Sacred Valley: After breakfast we travel by bus through the Sacred Valley of the Inca. where life has remained almost unchanged for 500 years. Upon decent into the Sacred Valley you will know that you’ve arrived in the area the Inca revered for its lush fertile soils. The scenery is unsurpassable, close and distant snow peaks glistening in the Sun. Later on, you will have the opportunity of visiting the lively local Ancient Pisac market where many of the local Indians sell their hand made textiles. It is here that many fine Andean garments are for sale and you can test your haggling powers as you bargain for trinkets and souvenirs. For lunch you will have the chance to eat a buffet lunch at the local hacienda restaurant with traditional Andean foods and music. We continue to Ollantaytambo the major Inca fortress. Constructed of finely cut polygonal stones and rhyolite blocks, the fortress and nearby town represent the best of Inca architecture and construction. Large worked blocks, some weighting as much as 100 tons were quarried from a site more than a thousand vertical feet above the valley floor using a technique of pecking with hammer stones, then skidded down and across the Urubamba river several kilometers to the temple site. Inclined ramps were built to raise the blocks several hundred feet up hill to the construction area. Return to the hotel (Breakfast/Lunch)

Machupicchu cusco peru Day 15- Machu Picchu: Early in the morning after breakfast we pick you up at your hotel and take you to the railway station for the tourist class train to Machu Pichu. The 3 hour train for one of the world’s great railway journeys. This climbs out of Cusco on an amazing switchback track, then passes through traditional villages on the high plain, Inca ruins and rushing rivers. We'll descend 1300 meters through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and follow the Urubamba river until the final stop at Aguas Calientes. Afterward, we'll take the 20 minute bus ride up to Machu Picchu, perched 600 meters above the river. Our guide will explain the history and the myths that surround this archeological wonder. Machu Picchu, the famous lost city of the Inca is one of the most magical and mysterious places on Earth! Stand 2,430m above sea-level in the middle of a tropical mountain forest. In an extraordinarily beautiful setting, it was probably most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height, its giant walls, terraces and ramps seen as, if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. The natural setting on the eastern slopes of the Andes, encompasses the upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna. Constructed from precisely sculptured granite blocks carefully joined with the projecting exposed stone of the surrounding mountain, the site may well be the finest architectural achievement of the new world. Afterwards we take the bus for your return to the Aguas Calientes for lunch. Then we will take the train back to return to Cusco. After your arrival in to the Cusco train station, transfer to the hotel (Breakfast/Lunch)

Day 16- Cusco: Early in the morning opportunity to enjoy a wonderful sunrise over Machu Picchu (on your own) and some personal time for private reflection. Return to Cusco in the evening. Reception and transfer to the hotel.(Breakfast)

Day 17- Cusco: Free day to enjoy the City by your own. Overnight.(Breakfast/Dinner)

Day 18- Puno: Transfer to the railway station for the wonderful Inca express. Lunch on board the "Orient Express" of Peru. Reception and transfer to your hotel in Puno.(Breakfast/Lunch)

Lago Titicaca puno Day 19- Titicaca Lake: After a leisurely breakfast we pick you up and transfer down to Puno port and board motorized launches. Our first stop are the floating reed islands of the Uros indigenous group who maintain houses and evens schools on these floating reed islands. We continue to Taquile Island and we have Lunch, we return to Puno, and arrive at our hotel weary but having experienced the essence of lake Titicacaca, the cradle of Andean civilization Return to Puno and your hotel.(Breakfast/Lunch)

Day 20- Sillustani: Journey towards Juliaca, and an excursion to the Sillustani towers. Transfer to Juliaca airport for the flight to Lima. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.(Breakfast)

Day 21- Lima: Leisurely day with plenty of opportunity for shopping before your transfer to the airport and your return flight home. (Breakfast)

The single supplement for this tour is $650. You will be charged a single supplement if you desire single accommodations.

TOUR REGISTRATION: To register for this tour, complete the Tour registration form and return it with a deposit of 50% per person. If registering by phone, the deposit must be received within 10 days or the space will be released. Full payment of the tour fee is due 60 days prior to the tour departure date.
