Day 1 – Lima.
Upon your arrival our staff will greet and transfer you to Westin Libertador Lima 5* Hotel.
Day 2 – Chiclayo.
Transfer to the airport and flight to Chiclayo, “The Capital of the Friendship” arrival and transfer to Gran Chiclayo 4* Hotel. Then we’ll visit Sipan, where the tomb of the Lord of Sipan was discovered. The Lord ruled around 200 AD over the Moche culture, and his gold-laden tomb is considered to be the richest in the Americas. We will travel to the town of Lambayeque to visit the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum where many of these riches are displayed. After lunch, we’ll visit the 26 pre-Columbian pyramids of Tucume. These pyramids were excavated by Thor Heyerdahl (of Kon-tiki fame), who discovered burial sites, textiles, Incan figurines and depictions of reed boats. We return to the Hotel. Day 3 – Chiclayo – Trujillo.
In the morning after your breakfast we will visit the Brunning Museum. In the afternoon we’ll travel by private car to Trujillo, on the way we will visit the Temples of the Sun and Moon, built by the Moche Culture in around 500 AD. These 130-foot-tall pyramids are thought to be the largest adobe structures in the Americas. We spend night at Libertador 5* Hotel located in the Main plaza.(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 4 – Trujillo – Lima.
In the morning after breakfast we will visit the largest adobe Archaeological Complex of pre-Hispanic America, Chan Chan, ancient Capital of the Chimu Empire (13th Century), visiting the Templo del Arco Iris (Rainbow), the Site Museum and the Tshudi Palace. We will proceed to Huanchaco Beach, well frequented by beach-goers and surfers, where you will have the opportunity to appreciate the local fishermen surfing the waves in their traditional “Caballitos de Totora”, Totora reed boats used for fishing since pre Inca times by Northern Peruvians. Return to the Hotel transfer to the airport for a late afternoon flight to Lima. Arrival into Lima and transfer to Westin 5* Hotel. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 5 – Lima – Cusco.
In the morning our staff will transfer you to the airport for your departing flight to the Capital of the Inca. Upon your Arrival in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Incas, we greet you at the airport and transfer to Libertador Palacio del Inca 5*Hotel, brief orientation and a cup of traditional coca tea to assist in the acclimation to the 11300 ft. in the Inca Capital of Cusco. In the afternoon City tour of Cusco, including the Cathedral, Qoricancha, temple of the Sun, the most important of Inca ceremonial sites. Later you will continue to the most important site of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Qenqo and Puca Pucara. We return to the hotel (Breakfast)
Day 6 – Sacred Valley.
Breakfast and we will travel by bus over a low pass then down into the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas. The scenery is unsurpassable, close and distant snow peaks glistening in the sun. Visit the Ancient Pisaq market, where many of the local Indians sell their hand made textiles. Lunch at the local hacienda restaurant and continue to Ollantaytambo the major Inca temple / fortress. Probably built by the great Inca ruler, Pachacuti in the 1460s, it was the site of Hernando Pizzaro’s defeat by Manco Inca in 1536. Return to Cusco. Night at Libertador Palacio del Inca 5* Hotel. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner).
Day 7 – Machu Picchu.
Early in the morning after breakfast we aboard the tourist class train to Machu Pichu. We’ll descend 1300 meters through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and follow the Urubamba river until the final stop at Aguas Calientes. Afterward, we’ll take the 20 minute bus ride up to Machu Picchu, perched 600 meters above the river. Our guide will explain the history and the myths that surround this archeological wonder, Machu Picchu. The famous lost city of the Inca is one of the most magical and mysterious places on Earth! Stand 2,430m above sea-level in the middle of a tropical mountain forest. In an extraordinarily beautiful setting, it was probably most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height, its giant walls, terraces and ramps seen as, if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. The natural setting on the eastern slopes of the Andes, encompasses the upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna. Afterwards we take the bus for your return to the Aguas Calientes for lunch. Then we will take the train back to return to Ollantaytambo. From Ollantaytambo to Cusco we stop at small quechua village Chincheros and return to Cusco and to Libertador Palacio del Inca 5* Hotel. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 8 – Cusco.
Free day and show dinner. you can enjoy this beautiful city of the Incas walking around the nearby areas of the City, and at night we will enjoy Dinner folk show for this last night in Cusco. Libertador Palacio del Inca 5*Hotel. (Breakfast/Dinner)
Day 9 – Lima.
Today our staff will transfer you to the airport for your departing flight out to Lima. Arrival to Lima and transfer to Westin Libertador Lima 5* Hotel. (Breakfast)
