Day 1. Welcome to Costa Rica!
Arrival in Juan Santamaria International Airport. Transfer to the hotel.
The main downtown area of San Jose is a bustling collection of well-laid out streets filled with bustling traffic and lined with eclectic, historic architecture. On the surface it is a gritty downtown area, but look inside and you’ll find friendly people, quirky spots, and the historic side of San Jose that change your impression. A walking tour is the best way to see this area.

Day 2: Tortuguero
Excursion to Tortuguero National Park, the program includes the aquatic ground transportation, and lodging in

You can see banana plantations and take a boat trip along the Rio La Suerte to Tortuguero channels.
Lunch at the Mawamba Lodge.
After lunch, at 3:30 pm you will have a tour to Tortuguero village.
Dinner at the Lodge.
Accommodation in standard room, breakfast, lunch and dinner, tours of the Tortuguero Canals, Tour the Town of Tortuguero is included.
Day 3: Tortuguero
Full day in Tortuguero, breakfast, lunch and dinner at Mawamba Lodge.
The entrance fee to the National Park in not included, rate $ 15.00
After breakfast you will have a tour in Mawamba Park where you will see the frog pond, beautiful butterflies, different types of rich local flora.

Day 04: Tortuguero – Arenal
Morning departure from Tortuguero and the village of Guápiles, lunch at the Rio Danta Restaurant, then private transfer and to La Fortuna de San Carlos, travel time is 3.30 hours.
Arrival and accommodation in Arenal.
The Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica is a lush destination; better known around the world for its natural wonders that combine adventure with nature.
Day 5: Arenal

Zip lining above the tree canopy will not only offer you a great adventure, it will also offer you the opportunity to observe wildlife in its natural habitat. Your zip line adventure will include a 1 hour optional horseback ride to El Silencio Observation point where you can safely observe the dried lava of previous eruptions of the majestic Arenal Volcano which has formed channels of volcanic rock along the mountainside.
Your tour will begin with a warm welcome and a brief safety speech, after which your equipment will be put on and carefully checked by our bilingual guides; all of them are certified by ICT (Costa Rican Board of Tourism). This certification provides you extra assurance that you will be completely safe at all times since the guides are fully trained in first aid, vertical rescue, and have ample knowledge of the Flora and Fauna of this beautiful country. Enjoy this thrilling aerial adventure of approximately 3 km, starting from a tower 13 meters high and glide your way down 8 cables made with the best galvanized stainless steel, ranging from 80 meters to 750 meters in length, with an average height of 38 meters. Speeds will top 60km per hour! Each of our 14 platforms, 5 of which are constructed in extraordinary trees, were strategically designed at varying heights to allow our clients to observe the rainforest from different angles and photograph the awe inspiring scenery.
At the platform # 10, If you are willing to take the most exhilarating, electrifying and mind-blowing adventure you can enjoy our amazing Tarzan Swing, where you have to jump to a secure rope and literally throw yourself off a platform, then you start swinging back and forth between the trees, that allows you an incredible view of the mighty Arenal Volcano as well as the rainforest above, below and around you as a healthy rush of adrenaline surges through your bones for an adventure you will never forget.
Hours: The first tour is at 8:00 a.m and it runs canopy tours every hour until 3:30 p.m to best accommodate to the needs of our valued clients. Special Departures established at: 8:00 a.m, 10:30 a.m 1:00p.m and 3:30 p.m.
Duration: Complete tour duration is 2.5 or 3 hours, depending on group size. If you do not wish to enjoy the horseback portion, please inform at time of reservation. This tour may take less time without the horseback.

Day 6: Venado Caves Tour

For those who would not matter getting wet and muddy, this fascinating adventure under ground only 45 minutes from La Fortuna, we will take you through narrow passages and incredible labyrinths, chambers where you will see the famous rock formation caleed “La Papaya” and othet stalactites and stalagmites that will surely get everybody astonished! You will also see spidersand bats that are frequent in this place.
Includes: Comfortable transport, bilingual guide, flash light, helmet, and cold drinks.
What to bring: Comfortable clothes, comfortable shoes, insect repellent, extra clothes.
Recommended: For people in good physical condition.

Day 7: Monteverde
Breakfast at Hotel. This day Combo Tour: Chocolate / Coffee / Sugarcane Plantation Tour
The Don Juan Coffee Tour offers a unique opportunity to learn about coffee and Costa Rican folklore. During the coffee tour you will learn about the history, cultivation, and operation of a functioning coffee ‘beneficio’. Visitors will have a chance to pick coffee and take part in the different steps involved in coffee production. At the end of the tour coffee and souvenirs are available at the gift shop.
The Don Juan Coffee Tour is a chance to experience first hand the tradition of growing coffee in Costa Rica. The farm has a typical ox-drawn cart that you can take a ride in.
The coffee harvest in Costa Rica so strongly affected the nation that school and work schedules used to be arranged to allow both adults and children pick coffee. Each year from December to February families would congregate on the coffee plantations and pick from sunrise to sunset, each worker paid by basket of coffee picked.

Everybody loves chocolate! On your 30-minute tour you will learn a lot about the world of chocolate. Besides learning about its history you will participate in the chocolate making process yourself! You will have the opportunity to taste the cacao fruit and learn how the cocoa beans are converted into delicious chocolate and get an insight on the traditional method of roasting the beans, separating the husks and grinding the beans.
Finally you will be presented by the taste of the chocolate you’ve helped to make and flavor!
Sugar Cane Demonstration
In this short 15-minute demonstration on sugar cane production you will learn about the historical methods of extraction and why many farmers had their own sugar cane mills. You can also participate in making sugar cane in the traditional way and enjoy a glass of pure sugar cane juice.
Ride on an Ox Cart
At the end of the tour you can take a ride in a typical ox cart and experience the ancient way of traveling in Costa Rica.

Day 8: Monteverde – Guanacaste
Breakfast at the Hotel. Departure Monteverde to the Gulf of Papagayo in Guanacaste, travel is about 5 hours.
The route is as follows leaving Monteverde take the main road to the Interamerican Highway or Route No.1, bound for Liberia.
Guanacaste is a tropical paradise with a pristine shoreline, beautiful mountain ranges and a number of volcanoes. Visitors are drawn to the long summer days, active culture and unparalleled wildlife. Located in the far northwest corner of Costa Rica, Guanacaste’s geographical features are diverse and exotic. With endless options for recreation, there are countless reasons why locals and international visitors alike travel to Guanacaste.
Day 9 : Guanacaste

Description: Nicaragua is a beautiful country owner of a very rich culture and a history full of proud and difficult memories. Our journey to our northern neighbor starts very early in the morning to avoid lines on the border. On the other side we will stop for a delicious breakfast near of Rivas city. We continue our way to Granada city, one of the first founded cities in America by Europeans, a colorful place, built on Spanish colonial architecture that nowadays still remains. At Granada we visit the most important monuments of the city on a horse drawn, like Spanish used to do it 200 years ago; we will see the main church known as the “Catedral”, “The Plaza de España” which is one of the best view points for the magnificent Nicaragua Lake and many others; we take lunch on a nice restaurant with a historical view.
After lunch we drive towards to Masaya City, a very typical Nicaraguan Town and we visit the active Masaya Volcano and the National park, a natural attraction that we cannot miss on our trip; we finish our stay at Masaya with a visit to the local market when you will have the chance to see the local pottery and pick up a souvenir. We get back to Costa Rica to drop you off at your hotel on the evening.
Departure: 5:00am. Return: 8:30pm.

Description:Enjoy an exciting ride up the mountain and through the plains with beautiful views of Guanacaste’s pacific coast and Rincón de la Vieja volcano. After the horse riding we will prove if you have what it takes to fly over the tree tops, zipping across the canyon and in front of the breathtaking Borinquen Waterfall? A delicious lunch is waiting for us to recover energies and then finish our journey into our world famous and relaxing hot spring center.

Description: The hydrologic characteristics of the Tempisque River has created conditions to form these international important wetlands ecosystem (Ramsar site) Palo Verde National park it is an exceptional place for birdwatchers and nature lovers in general, a two hours boat trip will introduce us into these important ecosystem, crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas and more wildlife that you ever imagined. After this great opportunity to see wildlife, we will visit the town of Guaitil traditional pottery artisans.
What to bring: Hiking shoes, running shoes or sandals, binoculars, camera, sun block, mosquito repellent, money, sun glasses and hat.
